Kodak batteries did not work because it's + battery tip was not long enough to reach the scale's contacts to power the scale. Another battery brand worked ok. Scale operation - left button selects gms (default), oz, or lbs. Right button turns on for momentary 8888 on reset / 0 preset. Scale works great. Maximum capacity = 5kg = 176oz = 11 lbs maximum. Delightful, simple, kitchen scale.

I bought a 3kg one domestically for 2 months... 5kg at this price... I'll have to use it more, but it seems to work well for now.

The scales are accurate, I recommend them. Checked, they show the correct weight. The scales are small in size, which is very convenient for the kitchen.
