The 8000 series is much bigger than expected. The reeling is smooth and good, but the weight and size are overwhelming, which is surprising. It should only be used for casting.

I like it a lot. I use two Shimano 1120 reels and bought them for spare use, but they turned out to be amazing. Now I don't think I'll buy Shimano or Daiwa anymore. It's cheap so it's good to use, and I'm very satisfied with the quality. The downside is that even at 6000 rpm, it's small, so I think it can only reel about 200 meters of 3000 line. Anyway, it's light and the spinning feeling is smooth. I highly recommend it. The line capacity seems to be 3000 line at 300 meters, but I bought two at 500 meters and there's about 100 meters left. Other than that, it's perfect.

Sturdy and beautiful reel, the brake of the reel which is made of plastic failed, the rest is metal and has good finishes.
